Picture this. You have just finished a fun lunch out with your husband and some friends and you get up to leave, grab the strap on your purse and, “Oh no, oh no, Oh no!” Your purse has been unclipped from the strap and now your phone, checkbook and cards are in someone else’s hands. That was ME several years ago
After talking with the manager we called our bank, closed our account and then frantically started trying to remember what cards and sensitive information were in my purse. We used my husband’s phone and began the process before we left the restaurant. He had some of the same cards so we were able to get the customer service numbers.
We did everything correctly, but some things we did not remember until we got a call.
Needless to say, I wished I’d had a list written at home of the sensitive items that were in my purse to avoid frustration from not knowing if I remembered everything. I do have that now!
Sadly, FRAUD is on the rise and my id has been stolen 4 more times from the internet since then. It’s important that we have details for our important info recorded for unexpected emergencies like this. I don’t wish for anyone to go through what we did, so I have made a free file for recording everything that is in your purse or wallet. If you would like this for yourself, please get it here: What's In Your Wallet. If not, no worries.
Life is full of the unexpected and no matter how much we plan, things happen that are out of our control. It really is hard to out think a thief. However, being prepared with your information does help lesson frustration with the unexpected.
Patience will help with the rest.
Remember though, most times when we need to access our information it is for positive situations.
